It's no longer news that social
media has become the most used messaging platforms over the last few years and up till now. Different social media platforms have come and gone mostly due to the fact that they couldn't keep up with the challenge and were knocked out. This is because the social media network is very competitive and is meant for the survival of the fittest. Social media platforms such as 2go, queep, Nimbuzz, etc all came and now very few people use them. The only platforms that have been able to
survive throughout these years are those that met up with the challenge e.g Facebook, Twitter, whatsapp and so on. But today platforms such as Whatsapp faces possible threats of elimination or loss of customers due to the Introduction of Google's new secret weapon called GOOGLE ALLO.
Due to the need for better social media services, Google decided to research and bring out what is today arguably one of the best social media platforms out there. Google Allo is a social media application available for Android and IOS users. It can help you make plans, get information and easy self expression while chatting.
It also has a feature called SMART REPLY which suggests replies for you according to the type of message. The smart reply also works for images i.e when someone sends you a cute image, you might see a suggestion such as "awww cute!". The reply improves over time and adjusts to you chat pattern.
Stickers are also available just in case you don't feel like typing. You can also edit images before sharing them with Google Allo.
One of the special things about Google Allo is the it has Google assistant feature which gives you the avenue to ask questions and get replies from Google while chatting. This means that there's no need to pause your conversation and start searching online for information. The Google assistant can also provide you with daily weather forecast, news, Traffic, Sports and information on Flights.
It's more like your own personal Secretary. Isn't that great?
And finally, Google Allo has a feature called THE INCOGNITO MODE which means that all your chats has end-to-end encryption. It also has additional features like discreet notification and message expiration.
With the above features i hope you can now agree with me that Google Allo is the Application to watch out for. But the big question is "Is this the application that will lead to the fall of other social media platforms like imo, whatsapp especially now that whatsapp has announced leaving some platforms?" well, we will have to find out over time.
