HOW TO ACTIVATE MTN SHARE AND SELL.

No migration is required in order to make use of MTN Share and Sell. All that is required from you is to activate it. In order to activate MTN Share and Sell, you need to set up your TRANSFER PIN by changing the DEFAULT TRANSFER PIN.

Your default pin is the pin which was given to you by the network provider. It is a four digit pin which consist of only numbers. Every new subscriber has the same default pin which is 0000.

In order to activate your account, you have to customize your transfer pin to your own personal four digit pin. Once you customize your transfer pin, your account will be activated.

You can activate MTN Share and Sell in two ways;

1. VIA SMS: This can be done through the following format. Go to messages>>create message and input the following; *DEFAULT PIN*space*NEW PIN*space*NEW PIN* and send to 777. Example 0000 1234 1234 and send to 777. After doing this, your default pin will be changed and your account will be activated.

2. VIA USSD CODE: USSD codes are short codes for activating various services. The USSD for changing MTN Share and Sell default pin is as follows; *601*DEFAULT PIN*NEW PIN*NEW PIN#. Example: *601*0000*1234*1234# and your default pin will automatically be changed.

HOW TO TRANSFER AIRTIME USING MTN SHARE AND SELL.

Now that you have successfully activated your MTN Share and Sell account, you are now ready to start sending and receiving airtime. This can be done using either if the following methods;

1. VIA SMS: To do this, just follow this format. Type TRANSFER space RECEIVER'S PHONE NUMBER space AMOUNT space YOUR NEW TRANSFER PIN and send it to 777.  Example: TRANSFER 09055161210 500 1234 and send to 777. After that, you will be sent a message asking you to reply with YES if you want to go through with the transfer. Just send YES to 777 and you have successfully made an airtime transfer. But if you don't want to go ahead with the transfer, just ignore the message or just reply CANCEL to 777 and your transfer will be terminated.

2. VIA USSD CODE: This is easier and faster than the SMS method. To make use of the USSD method just type the following; *600*RECEIVER'S PHONE NUMBER*AMOUNT*NEW TRANSFER PIN#. Example: *600*09055161210*500*1234#. And that's it you have successfully done a transfer. In the USSD method, no reply is required unlike the SMS method where you have to reply or your transfer will be terminated.

NOTE: MTN Share and Sell is easy and free to use except for those on MTN BETATALK.
