HOW TO ROOT ALL ANDROID 6.0 MARSHMELLOW SMARTPHONES


When you talk about rooting an android phone, most people immediately get scared. They tend to think rooting is a dangerous thing to do to their smartphone. Rooting actually refers to the increase in user access i.e after rooting your android phone, you will be given unlimited access to do several things.
Rooting enables you to install and run some third party applications which normally will be rejected by your android phone. Rooting also gives you access to your smartphone's root folder. With root access in your smartphone, you can now delete system applications, install custom ROMs among other things.

The downside to rooting your mobile device is that it's warranty becomes void once rooted. So if you do not want to loose your warranty, then do no root but if not then continue reading.


HOW TO ROOT ANY ANDROID 6.0 MARSHMALLOW SMARTPHONE.

In order to attain a Successful rooting of your android phone, ensure you carefully follow all the steps below accordingly without missing any step because rooting is a very technical process with must be done carefully.

  1. Ensure that your smartphone is fully charged but if not, it should not be less than 50%. This is because the rooting process consumes battery and so, you are advised to have a charged battery before embarking on the process.
  2. Enable DEVELOPER OPTIONS on your device. Developer Options simply gives you the USB DEBUGGING privilege which is what we are after. USB Debugging allows your phone to be able to be modified over a computer system. To enable USB debugging, Goto MENU>>SETTING. If you can't find the USB debugging option, then From SETTINGS Goto ABOUT PHONE. There you will see BUILD NUMBER click on it and continue clicking on it until it tells you that You are now a developer. Now, Goto the Developer options and enable USB Debugging. Once done, then we can continue with the next process.
  3. Get a PC. Download and install USB DRIVERS Here on the PC. It will be used to transfer the SuperSU files to your mobile device.
  4. Download SuperSU Here.
  5. If you don"t have TWRP RECOVERY installed, you can download it Here directly on your mobile device.
  6. You need to transfer the SuperSU file to the internal memory of your mobile device. With the aid of a USB cable, transfer the SuperSU.zip file to the ROOT FOLDER of your phone's internal storage/memory. But if you downloaded the SuperSU.zip file with your mobile device, just move it to the root folder of your internal memory/storage.
  7. Next, you need to boot your mobile device into TWRP recovery mode. Although, it differs according to the kind of mobile device. E.g;
>>FOR HUAWEI:
  1. Turn off the mobile device completely and then holding power + volume down button boot the device into TWRP recovery mode. Once you see TWRP logo, it means you have successfully started your device in recovery mode.
  2. Once you are in the TWRP recovery mode, you need to run Backup Nandroid. To do that, click the Backup and select all the partitions from the system - data, boot, recovery, EFS and cache (optional).
>>FOR MOTOROLA
  1. A few seconds after switching off your device, hold down the following buttons power button + up volume button + down volume button. Hold then down until you see a start menu.
  2. Once you see a start menu, release all the buttons then press down volume button when you see the option RECOVERY. Press up volume button once again.
  3. Next, you will see the Android logo. At this point, you have to hold down the up volume button + down volume button together for about 5 seconds. After that press the power button.
>>FOR SAMSUNG:
  1. Download and install ODIN 3.10.7 on your PC. Download it Here.
  2. Next, Download TWRP-3.1.0-1-hero2lte.img.tar file. You can download it Here.
  3. Then, you will have to enter DOWNLOAD MODE. This is done by rebooting the phone, and then keep pressing the down volume button + home button + power button together until the warning message appears. Then just press the up volume button.
  4. Connect your mobile device with the aid of a USB cable to your PC and run the ODIN, select AP and type WRP-3.1.0-1-hero2lte.img.tar.
  5. Click on start. when the installation is complete, hold the following buttons at the same time up volume button + home button + power button to enter the recovery mode.
  6. Next, when you enter the TWARP menu, you have to format your device (ensure you have already backed up your files first) by selecting WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET and immediately, install no-verity-opt-encrypt file you saved in your device memory as you did with SuperSU. When you are done, restart your phone.
  7. After rebooting, enter recovery mode with once again by holding down the up volume button + home button + power button.
  8. Once in recovery mode, select the SuperSU file you downloaded and click INSTALL to flash the SuperSU file which you moved in the previous step.
  9. Reboot your device and you are done. You mobile device is now rooted.


Normally, the way to boot most brands mobile devices into recovery mode is to switch it off completely and hold down the following buttons together for a few seconds: down volume button + power button. But it does not work for your own brand of mobile device, then you will have to search it out on Google.


In order to confirm if your device have successfully been rooted, download ROOT CHECKER install it and check your phones root status. If it works, it should show you that your mobile device now has SuperSU successfully installed.
